Working with horses = working with small children

When shooting equestrian portraits, working with owners and their horses isn't unlike working with groups of small children.  Horses have short attention spans, get fidgety, and are often mischievous and uncooperative much the same way a 2 year old might be.  Take my shoot with horses Charlie and Dino for example.  They have only so much patience before maybe grabbing a snack, or perhaps nibbling on their owner....great.  All in all, it was still a blast to shoot.  I'm excited for more of these!

smile for the camera owww! that one hurt oh don't do it.... no... no... victorious
